“In the current year, the organization conducted the following fundraising events for benefit of avery's creek elementary school, and the proceeds were given to the school for the programs and expenses listed below. Grants to school for expenses: - leader in me - supports costs associated with school's participation in the franklin covey program for schools. - teacher supply restock - mid-year restock for miscellaneous items needed for classroom teachers - school support- a combination of various small support needs throughout the year that don't fit in the other categories, including one big support item per year. This year, the organization provided funds for items that supported the new arts wing construction that consisted of classrooms for art and music and new gymnasium. These items included p.e. Equipment, art supplies, musical instruments among other things. - climate - this is to support the overall "climate" for the teachers (weddings, births, retirements, etc.). The organization funds some directly and also provide a fixed amount to the school principal for allocation as required. - art/stem lab/music/physical education/library - support for each of the special subject area that provides instruction to all students in the school. - guidance - support for guidance office for school climate. This includes our pbis program, bead program, ambassador of peace program as well as other behavioral reinforcement support programs. - grade-level support - support for quarterly/year-end awards - field day - support for outdoor activity day provided at the end of the school year to all students at no cost to the student. - field trips - funding to help offset transportation/admission costs for classroom field trips. Provided each student and staff member with "special event" t-shirts which are worn on field trips. These help with the safety of our students making them easily recognizable when off campus for school functions. Each grade level has a specific color of shirt. - teacher appreciation - support for lunch/breakfast and other "thank you" events for teachers/staff throughout the year - teacher fund - support for classroom supplies - performances - support for supplies needed for musical performances/art displays put on by students throughout the year.”
