Foundation health systems corp. Is an integral part of the novant health system (collectively known as "novant health"), a not-for-profit integrated group of hospitals, physician clinics, outpatient centers and other healthcare service providers. Novant health consists of more than 1,200 physicians and 26,000 employees who make healthcare remarkable at nearly 500 locations, including 14 medical centers and hundreds of outpatient facilities and physician clinics. Headquartered in winston-salem, nc, novant health is committed to making healthcare remarkable for patients and communities, serving more than four million patients annually. Novant health is ranked as one of the nation's top 20 integrated delivery networks by ims health. In 2014, the novant health system reported $3.8 billion in revenues. General information foundation health systems corp. Includes novant health rehabilitation center and novant health today's woman obstetrics and gynecology (ob/gyn), both located in the triad area of north carolina. It also includes north carolina diagnostic imaging, a group of imaging centers located throughout north carolina. As part of the novant health system, these imaging centers are committed to improving the health of the communities they serve. In addition to our quality and comprehensive categories of services, we're very proud of our patient financial assistance program. We work with customers to help qualify them for public assistance, establish a reasonable payment plan, discount their bill or provide them with free charity care. Community outreach in keeping with our mission, physical and occupational therapy staff provided free balance and posture screenings at several community health fairs in 2014. The goals of the screenings are to assess and decrease people's risk of falling and to promote healthy lifestyles and an optimal quality of life. Novant health rehabilitation center leaders also helped plan and implement a healthy active adults day at the kernersville family ymca in north carolina that served more than 1,500 local citizens. Novant health rehabilitation center also serves as a network therapy provider for health care access, which links the uninsured with the medical community. The novant health rehabilitation center proudly uses funds raised by our own staff in honor of a former colleague to assist patients who can't afford medical and rehabilitation equipment that can help enhance their recovery and improve safety. New technology & services a concurrent electronic health record (ehr) initiative is being undertaken by both the acute and ambulatory facilities in the novant health system. In july, 2013, novant health medical group finalized the implementation of the ehr in all physician practices across the novant health system. Many novant health facilities have successfully implemented the ehr and clinicians can now share patients' medical information between physician offices, outpatient centers and hospitals.
