PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE To acquire, develope and maintain property for the purpose of providing community parks complete with athletic and recreation facilities. To acquire, construct and maintain buildings to be used as a community center and recreational facilities. To engage in activities that promote the welfare of the community to be a better place to live and work.

PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS a. The Coulwood Pool was open for membership from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. There were approximately 168 individual pool memberships and council memberships for the season.During the summer season the Coulwood Swim Team used the pool for team practices, team swim meets and league swim meets. Swim lessons are offered at the pool. On July 4th, the Pool was open to the public for a free swim with approximately 300 attending. Water aerobics activities were also available. b. There was movie night in the park, Easter egg hunt, photos with Santa, Senior citizens pancake breakfast. The Coulwood Clubhouse was also rented several times a month for varius family reunions, showers, birthday parties etc. The Coulwood Community Council Board of Directors holds monthly, bi-annual and special community meetings at the Clubhouse with 10 to 50 attending. c. The Coulwood Park is open dawn to dusk to the public and used by individuals, families and groups for picnics and gatherings. The annual 4th of July Community Celebration is held in the park and begins with a parade. Lunch served, awards and games for the public with 150-250 attending. Memorial Day 5K run. National night out ice cream social. Caroling in the park. Other activities include Hoe Down in the Park, National Night Out, Back to School Bash, and Caroling in the Park.

Long Term objectives are to encourage the Coulwood Community residents to become more interested and responsible for the Community recreational assets Clubhouse, Park, Pool and to engage in activities that promote the welfare of the community to be a better place to live and work. The Coulwood Community Council LTD is currently in the process of remodeling and rebuilding the swimming pool and pool building which are over 60 years old. The project was actually completed on June 30, 2024.

To acquire, construct and maintain buildings to be used as a community center and recreational facilities. To engage in activities that promote the welfare of the community to be a better place to live and work.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS a. The Coulwood Pool was open for membership from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. There were approximately 168 individual pool memberships and council memberships for the season.During the summer season the Coulwood Swim Team used the pool for team practices, team swim meets and league swim meets. Swim lessons are offered at the pool. On July 4th, the Pool was open to the public for a free swim with approximately 300 attending. Water aerobics activities were also available. b. There was movie night in the park, Easter egg hunt, photos with Santa, Senior citizens pancake breakfast. The Coulwood Clubhouse was also rented several times a month for varius family reunions, showers, birthday parties etc. The Coulwood Community Council Board of Directors holds monthly, bi-annual and special community meetings at the Clubhouse with 10 to 50 attending. c. The Coulwood Park is open dawn to dusk to the public and used by individuals, families and groups for picnics and gatherings. The annual 4th of July Community Celebration is held in the park and begins with a parade. Lunch served, awards and games for the public with 150-250 attending. Memorial Day 5K run. National night out ice cream social. Caroling in the park. Other activities include Hoe Down in the Park, National Night Out, Back to School Bash, and Caroling in the Park.

Short term objectives are to maintain and operate the Coulwood Community Clubhouse, Park and Coulwood Pool for the membership and community to provide recreational facilities for the welfare of the individuals and families. b. Long Term objectives are to encourage the Coulwood Community residents to become more interested and responsible for the Community recreational assets Clubhouse, Park, Pool and to engage in activities that promote the welfare of the community to be a better place to live and work. The Coulwood Community Council LTD is currently in the process of remodeling and rebuilding the swimming pool and pool building which are over 60 years old. The project was actually completed on June 30, 2024.
