“The nominating committee of the board consists of board members. Recommendations are received from the board and library staff. Interviews are conducted and finalists reviewed, matching board needs to candidate qualifications. Nominations are presented in april each year. The board deliberates and a final vote taken at the june meeting. Terms are for three years. The board has a staggered cycle which permits rotation of approximately three members each year. No more than two consecutive three year terms are permitted. Former members can be reelected after a one year absence.”
