Our mission is to strengthen cleveland county businesses, promote economic development and enhance community vitality. We strive to make cleveland county an economic leader in western north carolina and to enhance our members' success through advocacy, member benefits, and services.

“The members of the cleveland county chamber elect the board of directors. Each year a nominating committee is appointed by the chairman and they are charged with bringing a proposed slate of nominees to the membership at large. This slate is sent to the membership and the membership has an opportunity to nominate additional nominees. Should additional nominees be nominated, a ballot is sent to the members and they are asked to vote for five. The top five vote getters are elected to the board of directors for a three year term.”
