The project is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. However, income from certain activities not directly related to the project's tax-exempt purpose is subject to taxation as unrelated business income. The project recognizes the effect of income tax positions only if those positions are more-likely-than-not be sustained upon examination by taxing authorities. Management has determined that the project has no uncertain tax positions that would require financial statement recognition or disclosure. The project is no longer subject to audits by the applicable taxing jurisdictions for periods prior to 2020. Currently, there are no audits in progress.
