The district director and district chair shall be elected from and by the Physical Therapist, Retired Physical Therapist, Life Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Retired Physical Therapist Assistant, or Life Physical Therapist Assistant members in their respective Districts. 6) to state that the bylaws of a special interest group must be approved by the chapter board and If the bylaws, any bylaw amendments, or matters of policy are not approved by the chapter Board, the Group may appeal to the membership of the Chapter at the next annual meeting. The chapter Board must act on the matter as instructed by the Chapter membership. 7) to modify the process for dissolving a district or special interest group. 8) to remove the requirement that two officers be present at the annual meeting and special meetings to establish quorum. 9) to modify the process for interim/emergency decisions made by the membership. 10) to modify the nomination and election procedures and require that ballots be received from 10% of the membership in order for an election to be complete. 11) to modify the duties of the nominating commitee and to state that vacancies in the nominating committee shall be filled by a vote of the nominating commitee rather than of the chapter membership”

If the intent of an amendment is editorial or to bring the Chapter's bylaws into agreement with those of the Association, the amendment shall be made as required by the Bylaws Committee and shared with the Board of Directors. The Bylaws Committee shall notify the Chapter's membership that such amendments have been made. The amended Bylaws will not require a vote of the Chapter membership.”
