“Movement Building, Member Development and Outreach We send a weekly email newsletter, host a website and frequently post on social media, to inform our members and followers of upcoming events, alerts and meeting information. The newsletter is sent to over 5,000 email addresses, we currently have 8,200 followers on Facebook and 15,200 followers on Instagram. We regularly create, print and distribute flyers and handouts to promote events. We were able to put up two billboards alerting the community to the crisis in Palestine. We participated in 5 different community festivals, including the annual Pride Festival which hosts 500,000 people over the weekend, talking with individuals, passing out literature, and gathering signatures for petitions. We sent 3 speakers and helped organize the United National Antiwar Coalition conference. We sent 15 members to a United National Anti-War Coalition and American Muslims for Palestine conferences to learn new skills. We support 2 other organizations that have interrelated causes through managing their grants and donations, and provided additional donations and funds to 4 other organizations for co-organized events. We hold 2 hour weekly meetings open to the public, plus a new member meeting specifically designed to engage new community members, which brought 70 people. 40 active members who regularly organize and volunteer including 20 new people who joined in 2024. An average of 30 people attend weekly meetings. We conducted 2 trainings for marshalls, who help keep our protests safe, attended by 25 people.”

“Civic Action We organized, supported, and participated in nearly 40 nearly weekly rallies and demonstrations in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota, including a bus trip to a rally in Duluth with almost 100 attendees. These events are open to the public and include speakers that focus the crowd around relevant and timely civic action and anti-war topics. We gather petitions at events and in local hotspots and encouraging our followers to participate in call-in days and attend public meetings. We worked to encourage the administrative body of the Minnesota State Board of Investment to divest funds from Israel and weapons manufacturers, and three city councils to pass ceasefire resolutions in Israel, primarily done with volunteers and advertised through free social media posts.”

“Educational Events We hosted 2 out of town speakers including a healthcare worker who had been in Gaza attended by 150 people and a Flotilla organizer attended by 100 people. We hosted 2 movie screenings both followed by facilitated group discussions, with a combined attendance of over 300 people. We organized and/or participated as a speaker on 8 educational panels discussing various topics, including colonialism in Africa, divestment, genocide in Palestine, health care, and Venezuelan elections. We also sent speakers to 2 national conferences, a few webinars, and events out-state.”
