THE SSVF PROGRAM HAS MORE EXTENSIVE PROCEDURES WITH GUIDANCE FROM THE UNIFORM MONITORING GUIDE. THE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR VETERAN FAMILIES (SSVF) PROGRAM HAS GUIDELINES FOR MONITORING WITHIN THE UNIFORM MONITORING PACKAGE (UMP). THESE PROCEDURES ARE THE ADMINISTRATIVE GUIDE USED FOR THE DELIVERY AND MONITORING OF THE PROGRAM. MONITORING FOR THE SSVF PROGRAM IS ACCOMPLISHED ON 3 LEVELS: VA GUIDELINES, LHAND COMPLIANCE PROCEDURES AND PROGRAM MANAGER'S OVERSIGHT. 1. THE SSVF DOCUMENTS AND ITEMS CHECKLIST FOR MONITORING IS FOLLOWED. THIS CHECKLIST IS USED BY THE VA DURING ANNUAL MONITORING VISITS. 2. LHAND'S FEDERAL AND STATE PROGRAMS COMPLIANCE MANAGER HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF OVERSIGHT OF ALL OF THE PROGRAMS ADMINISTERED BY LHAND. A PORTION OF THE SALARY FOR THE COMPLIANCE MANAGER IS PAID BY THE SSVF PROGRAM FOR MONITORING AND OVERSIGHT. -COORDINATES AND MONITORS ASSIGNED PROGRAM ACTIVITIES IN ORDER TO ENSURE EFFECTIVE OPERATIONS AND COMPLIANCE WITH ESTABLISHED STANDARDS. -REVIEWS AND ANALYZES DATA CONCERNING PROGRESS AND EFFECTIVENESS, TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHANGES IN PROCEDURES, GUIDELINES, ETC. AND TO DEVISE METHODS OF ACCOMPLISHING PROGRAM OBJECTIVES. -SCHEDULES AND PARTICIPATES IN SITE VISITS WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS AND ASSISTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CORRECTIVE ACTION PLANS IF NEEDED. 3. THE SSVF PROGRAM MANAGER REVIEWS ALL FILES FOR PAYMENT AND FORWARDS TO PROGRAM DIRECTOR FOR SIGN OFF AND THEN THE PAYMENT REQUEST IS FORWARDED TO FISCAL FOR PAYMENT.
