The organization maintains escrow bank accounts for homeowners to pay homeowners insurance, property taxes, and mortgage loan costs. The accounts are maintained by collecting escrow amounts for these items as a component of the monthly mortgage payment received from homeowners. The organization then remits the appropriate amounts to the tax departments, insurance companies, and others by the due dates. The organization reviews the escrow account details on a regular basis and adjusts the monthly mortgage escrow component as necessary.
