IN FY 2016, THE SBDC HELD 37 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ON TOPICS RANGING FROM MARKETING TO MILLENNIALS TO DEVELOPING FEDERAL PROPOSALS. THE SBDC ALSO HOSTED AN ADDITIONAL 35 EVENTS AND MEETINGS TO ENGAGE AND COORDINATE THE SMALL BUSINESS COMMUNITY IN ALEXANDRIA. 98% OF EVENT ATTENDEES RATED THESE EVENTS AS HELPFUL OR VERY HELPFUL. THE SBDC ALSO USES ITS WEBSITE TO PROVIDE AN ONLINE RESOURCE LIBRARY, CHECKLISTS, AND OTHER TOOLS FOR BUSINESS OWNERS AND ENTREPRENEURS. DURING FY 2016, THE SBDC SAW A 50% INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF SESSIONS AND A 49% INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF USERS ON THE SITE COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR.
