The finance staff of vcuhsa prepares and reviews the salary information and the remaining information on the form 990 with the assistance of its independent accounting firm, adams, jenkins and cheatham, who signs the return as paid preparer. The vcuhsa's vice president of finance and accounting will review the completed form 990 prior to the entity treasurer's review and signature.

The conflict of interest policy is reviewed and monitored at the annual board of directors meetings. Officers in their employment capacity of virginia commonwealth university and virginia commonwealth university health system authority are required to complete annually the commonwealth of virginia's statement of economic interest. All board of directors or any decision-making board committee that has the same decision making authority as the board, that is authorizing a transaction or arrangement is subject to the conflict of interest policy.
