Chantilly High Music Boosters

“Membership in the Chantilly Music Booster Association is open to the public. Nominal membership dues are $10 per family, $7 for individuals and $5 for teachers and alumni. All memberships are good for one year, beginning when dues are paid in full, and expire at the end of that school year.”

“Elections are held and Officers elected at the general membership meeting, the date designated by the Executive Committee, at the end of the school year. Officers shall be elected by ballot, unless there is but one nominee for the office. Election for that office may be by voice vote. A majority of the votes cast shall constitute an election.An individual may serve as an officer for a maximum of three years in a particular position.”

“Voting on bylaws or amendments, election of officers, the adoption of the budget or routine matters are voted on by the general booster membership.”

“A copy of the form 990 is provided to the officers and music department directors for review and approval prior to being filed”

“Some governing documents and information is available on the choral and band websites. Other governing documents and financial records are made available to the public upon request.”

“The responsibility for the collection and use of student fees for the music programs was taken over by Fairfax County Public Schools. The Chantilly High School Music Boosters continues to carry out fund raising to support the mission of the music programs at Chantilly High School.”

“The Chantilly Music Boosters pays stipends for clinicians, choreographers and other instructors who assist in teaching as well as creating and producing musical performances.”

“Other expenses include props, sets, music, classroom supplies, and student trophies”
