PART X, Line 2 NPI believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and, as such, it does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the consolidated financial statements. NPI recognizes interest expense and penalties related to unrecognized tax benefits in general and administration expenses in income from building operations on the consolidated statements of activities and change in net assets. There is no provision in these consolidated financial statements for penalties and interest related to unrecognized tax benefits for the years ended May 31, 2015 and 2014. TAX YEARS PRIOR TO 2011 ARE NO LONGER SUBJECT TO EXAMINATION BY THE IRS OR THE TAX JURISDICTION OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA.
