“Form 990 data is prepared by the outside accountants and reviewed by the President and CEO, and a member of the Finance Committee prior to its filing. Upon filing, the Chairman provides the 990 to the entire Board of Directors.”

“All board members sign a formal conflict of interest statement each year. The same procedure was established for all cep employees. If a conflict of interest arose, it would be brought to the attention of the chairman of the board and then sent to the audit & finance committee for review. The board member in question would be recused from the discussion. Audit & finance committee would research the potential conflict and bring it to the full board for discussion if necessary. The full board would make a final determination on the issue.”
