Mission

The virginia coalition to end homelessness is dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness in the commonwealth of virginia through community collaboration, capacity building, education and advocacy. The virginia coalition to end homelessness is the only statewide nonprofit organization unifying the interests of all concerned with homelessness to bring the most effective and cost-effective policies, systems, and services into practice across the commonwealth.

IN ORDER TO PROMOTE AND INCREASE THE SUPPLY OF PSH, VCEH LAUNCHED ITS ENDING VETERAN'S INTUITIVE IN 2014 WORKING WITH THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN'S SERVICES. PSH WAS A KEY COMPONENT OF THIS INITIATIVE. THE GOAL OF THIS INITIATIVE WAS TO PERMANENTLY HOUSE AS MANY VETERANS AS POSSIBLE WORKING WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES HELPING THEM DESIGN SYSTEMS THAT WOULD SUSTAIN THE EFFORT IN THE FUTURE. OVER 1,000 VETERANS WERE PERMANENTLY HOUSED ACROSS VIRGINIA AS A RESULT OF THIS EFFORT.
