Membership is generally granted if certain criteria are met by the applicant, including remission of appropriate fees, maintenance of valid real estate licenses, and agreement of various rules and conditions consistent with membership.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The association qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code and, therefore, has no provision for federal income taxes, except as may be determined for unrelated business income. In accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, accounting standards require an entity to recognize the financial statement impact of a tax position when it is more-likely-than-not that the position will not be sustained upon examination. Management evaluated the association's tax positions and concluded no uncertain tax positions were taken that require adjustment to the financial statements to comply with the provisions of this guidance.

OUR ASSOCIATION PLANS AND EXECUTES APPROXIMATELY 32 CLASSES PER YEAR (FOUR A MONTH) WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE AND OUR REAL ESTATE SCHOOL. CLASSES RANGE ANYWHERE FROM AN HOUR AND HALF TO SIX HOURS OF INSTRUCTIONAL TIME IN ONE DAY.

BY WORKING WITH OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS SUCH AS CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE, AND BUILDERS ASSOCIATION ON COMMUNITY-WIDE EVENTS SUCH AS ECONOMIC SUMMIT, STATE OF THE REGION SUMMIT, WE ADVOCATE FOR PRESERVING THE RIGHT OF PROPERTY OWNERSHIP IN THE INTEREST OF THE PUBLIC WELFARE. THE ACTIVITIES ARE PLANNED AND EXECUTED WITH THE HELP OF THE EVENTS COMMITTEE AND OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS.
