Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Vacpa is a group of agribusiness personnel whose goal is to instruct va agribusiness dealers in the safe and proper usage of agricultural chemicals. In doing so, they work very closely with virginia tech, virginia cooperative extension, virginia department of agriculature and consumer services (vdacs), and various other groups such as virginia department of soil and water conservation and the virginia agribusiness council. The association's average membership is 150 and the membership dues provide the association's income. Vacpa holds one educational seminar type meeting annually. In order to present the very best instructors at the lowest cost to membership, contributions are solicited. In addition, at the meeting, donations are accepted to the scholarship fund. In 2021, total donations of 16227.00 were received. However, this total varies from year to year.
