“M.g. Robertson, chairman of the board, and a.e. Robertson, secretary and director, are married. Their son, gordon robertson, serves as ceo, president and vice-chairman.”
“The christian broadcasting network prepares a draft of the 990 which is reviewed by kpmg and senior management. The revised 990 is submitted to the board for review. Further revisions are confirmed by kpmg.”
“Each officer and director is required to report any conflicts of interest to the chairman or ceo as soon as practical after they become aware of such a conflict. The chairman and ceo report any conflicts to the audit committee of the board of directors. Each officer and director is also required to annually complete the conflict of interest questionnaire. Cbn will monitor compliance with its conflict of interest policy by determining whether conflicts exist during the review of annual questionnaires completed by officers, directors, and key employees. The board of directors, excluding any conflicted persons, will have final approval of any corrective measures or imposed restrictions for conflicts of interest. Such restrictions will require excluding conflicted persons from discussion and approval of transactions benefitting them, directly or indirectly.”
“The audit committee of the board of directors will conduct an independent review of compensation which includes the chairman, ceo, president, all vice presidents and key employees every three years. This process includes securing comparable compensation data from an independent source, reviewing the data to ensure that the compensation is reasonable and contemporaneous substantiation of the deliberation and decision.”

“The goal of cbn's global outreach is to take the gospel message around the world and share the love and hope of jesus with those in need. Cbn demonstrates innovation and integrity as it develops indigenous centers and partners with native christian groups to spread the gospel across the globe. The development of indigenous cbn centers that provide local outreach through the use of television, radio, internet, and video programming is key in cbns worldwide evangelism efforts. The use of indigenous, recurring television programming in a country has proven a powerful outreach tool that builds trust and a solid viewership base. The cultivation of partnerships with local christian organizations is another key strategy to maximize resources and the impact of cbn media evangelism and community-based humanitarian outreaches. Cbn now has 59 episodes of a new version of superbook, a series of animated bible stories cbn originally produced in japan in the early 1980's. Superbook brings the life-changing stories of the bible to life and teaches values like courage, loyalty and faith to the children of the world in their native language. In addition, we have developed 24 superbook explorer packages which include special editions of episodes plus special features which allow families to better study the stories. Cbn has or is working on 64 language translations of one or more episodes of this series, as well as superbook websites in various languages, a sunday school curriculum, and other superbook-related projects. Cbn focuses its global evangelistic outreach in the following regions: central america and the caribbean, south america, sub-saharan africa, the middle east and north africa, india, indonesia, europe, southeast asia, china, and russia and the newly independent states. In 2019 cbn programs and other content were produced in 70 languages and have been produced in 144 foreign languages in total over the years. In 2019, cbn programs were broadcast to audiences in 159 countries and territories. Orphan's promise is cbn's outreach program to orphaned and at-risk children around the world. The organization seeks to meet the emotional, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual needs through education and training programs, nutrition and feeding solutions, discipleship efforts, family care programs, community transformation projects, and anti-trafficking programs. In 2019, orphan's promise helped thousands of vulnerable children in the united states and 64 other countries throughout africa, asia, latin america, europe, russia and the newly independent states.”
“The primary focus of the prayer center is to base every interaction in biblical principal, scripture, and prayer. This is done through fundraising efforts, account management, online community engagement, and encouragement through prayer from a faith based perspective. Prayer center employees also provide relevant links to cbn's free resources for further ministry. In 2019, the prayer center department handled 258,349 outbound and 1,908,952 inbound phone calls with a total of 2,167,301 calls. A total of 6,291 people prayed the prayer of salvation with our prayer center employees and 8,213 people rededicated their life to christ. The department recorded 1,690,727 prayer requests which were taken through inbound and outbound calls. The goal of the prayer center is to provide compassionate prayer, ministry, and outstanding customer service to callers.”
