“The Corporation is exempt from Federal Income Tax under Section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code as a Not-For-Profit Corporation. Federal Tax Law requires that the corporation be operated in a manner consistent with its initial exemption application in order to maintain its exempt status. Management has analyzed the operations of the corporation and concluded that is remains in compliance with the requirements for exemption. The State in which the corporation operates also provides general exemption from state income taxation for organizations that are exempt from federal income taxation. However the corporation is subject to both Federal and State income taxation at corporate tax rates on its unrelated business income. Exemption from other State taxes, such as real and Personal property taxes, is separately determined. Current accounting standards define the threshold for recognizing uncertain income tax return positions in the financial statements as "more likely than not" that the position is sustainable, based on technical merits, and also provide guidance on the measurement, classification, and disclosure of tax return positions in the financial statements. Management believes there is no impact on the corporation's accompanying financial statements related to uncertain income tax provisions.”
