Additional Explanations

Form 990, Part XII, Line 2C

The process for overseeing the audit of the financial statements and selection of an independent accountant that audited the financial statements has been consistent with prior years.

Financial Statement Notes

PART IV, LINE 2B:

During 2005, the association was named successor trustee for the douglas whitlock memorial fund trust. The association is now responsible for administering the trust under the terms of an agreement established at the inception of the trust. The value of the trust at december 31, 2022 was $94,244 and is shown as restricted cash and funds held in trust in the consolidated balance sheets.

PART X, LINE 2:

Bia is generally exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code (irc). Federal pac is exempt from federal income taxes under section 527(f)(3) of the irc. Income from nonexempt functions, including advertising, is subject to income taxes to the extent that revenue exceeds related costs. There was no taxable income for the year ended december 31, 2022; therefore, no provision has been made for income taxes in the consolidated financial statements. Management evaluated the association's tax positions and concluded that the association had taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to the consolidated financial statements.

PART XI, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:

Fed pac revenue included in consolidated financial statements 29,874. Cost of goods sold reported on part viii line 10b 126.

PART XII, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:

Fed pac expenses included in consolidated financial statements 18,491. Cost of goods sold reported on line 10b 126.
