Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization operates as an organization exempt from income as described in internal revenue code section 501(c)(5). As such, the organization is exempt from taxes on earned income with the exception of earnings from unrelated business activities. Accordingly, these financial statements do not reflect any provision for federal, state, or local income taxes. Asc topic 740 addresses the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an organization's financial statements and prescribes a threshold and measurement attribute for financial statement recognition regarding tax positions taken on expected to be taken on a tax return, including the entity's status as a tax-exempt entity. The organization has determined there are no significant uncertain tax positions.
