“Form 990 part ix, line 11a - animal protection of new mexico (apnm) and animal protection voters (apv) have a cost sharing agreement that includes sharing employees, office space and other overhead costs. As apnm processes payroll and incurs other expenses it allocates the appropriate portion of the expense to apv and apv reimburses apnm for those costs. Apnm and apv are not "related organizations" as defined by the irs. Each organization operates independently, is governed by separate independent boards, and maintains legal separation. These reimbursed expenses, though not all, are reflected on the form 990 at part ix, line 11a.”
