UNDER THE REQUIREMENTS OF ASC TOPIC 740-10, TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS COULD BE REQUIRED TO RECORD AN OBLIGATION AS THE RESULT OF A TAX POSITION THEY HAVE HISTORICALLY TAKEN ON VARIOUS TAX EXPOSURE ITEMS. PRIOR TO THIS CONCEPT, THE DETERMINATION OF WHEN TO RECORD A LIABILITY FOR TAX EXPOSURE WAS BASED ON WHETHER A LIABILITY WAS CONSIDERED PROBABLE AND REASONABLY ESTIMABLE.
