Mission

The coalition to strengthen america's healthcare was formed in 2000 to protect access to the best quality healthcare for all americans. The coalition represents the interests of more than 5,000 community, children's, teaching, public, religious, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and long-term care hospitals, and their patients.

To provide education and information to members of the public and policy makers about healthcare issues that affect hospitals and their patients.

“The coalition recognizes and measures its unrecognized tax benefits in accordance with fasb asc 740, income taxes. Under that guidance, management assesses the likelihood that tax positions will be sustained upon examination based on the facts, circumstances and information available at the end of each period, including the technical merits of those positions. The measurement of unrecognized tax benefits is adjusted when new information is available or when an event occurs that requires a change. Management has evaluated the coalition's tax positions and has concluded that the coalition has taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustments to these financial statements. The coalition files income tax returns in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction.”
