Ncci obtains signed, completed statements from the board members for any known financial interests that they or a member of their immediate family may have in the entity that transacts business with the organization. Statements are updated annually. The conflict of interest statement is included in the new hire orientation and it is required that every new hire must sign and return it to the approproate authority. Any board or staff member who wishes to disclose his or her own potential conlict shall do so in writing to the chair of the board.”

Presently, a review of the dc nonprofit salary index for directors in like industries. In addition a vetting and/or deliberation process discussing the director's years of experience, level of expertise, years with the organization and obtained education level to determine a comparable compensation are utilized to determine salary and compensation.”

“The north capital collaborative, inc. (ncci) is exempt from the payment of income taxes on income other than net unrelated business income under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. The provisions included in accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america provide consistent guidance for the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an entity's financial statements and prescribe a threshold of "more likely than not" for recognition of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. Ncci performed an evaluation of uncertain tax positions as of september 30, 2024 and 2023, and determined that there were no matters that would require recognition in the financial statements or that may have any effect on its tax-exempt status. As of september 30, 2024, the statute of limitations for fiscal years 2021 through 2024 remain open with the u.s. Federal jurisdiction or the state and local jurisdiction in which ncci files tax returns. It is ncci's policy to recognize interest and/or penalties related to uncertain tax positions, if any, as income tax expense.”
