Mission

The college park city-university partnership is the nonprofit local development corporation jointly funded by the city of college park and the university of maryland. Our mission is to promote and support the economic welfare of college park and the university of maryland through activities including commercial revitalization, community development, and quality housing opportunities consistent with the interests of the city of college park and the university of maryland.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6

The members of the college park city university partnership, inc. Are the city of college park and the university of maryland at college park.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7A

Four (4) directors shall be designated as class a directors, shall be representatives of the university of maryland at college park, and shall be appointed by the president of the university of maryland at college park; four (4) directors shall be designated as class b directors, shall be representatives of the city of college park and shall be appointed by the mayor and city council of the city of college park; and the remaining directors, not less than two (2) shall be designated as class c directors and shall be appointed jointly by the mayor and city council of the city of college park and the president of the university of maryland at college park.

The prepared form 990 is reviewed and approved by the executive committee that includes the chair, vice chair, treasurer, and executive director before the return is filed with the irs. Although the executive director is not a voting member, the executive director may sign the return once it has been approved for filing. In this year, the organization has continued to support qualified new homebuyers through the partnership's homeownership program. Furthering the organization's goals, the partnership has expanded our program to include purchasing home's to be sold to qualified homeowners to continue to preserve and develop the community.
