IF FUNDED, AN AWARDEE WHO WANTS TO CHANGE THEIR BUDGET ALLOCATION, NEEDS TO SUBMIT A CHANGE REQUEST FORM JUSTIFYING THE NEED. TYPICALLY, AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THE CHAIR OF THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH GRANTS REVIEW COMMITTEE, THE NBF DIRECTOR SENDS AN APPROVAL (OR NON-APPROVAL) LETTER. THE NBFRET DOES NOT REQUIRE A FINANCIAL REPORT AT THE END OF THE GRANT PERIOD, HOWEVER SOME INSTITUTIONS PROVIDE THEM AND THEY ARE FILED ALONG WITH THE GRANT RECIPIENT'S RESEARCH FINAL REPORT. EVERY GRANT RECIPIENT PROVIDES A FINAL REPORT AT THE END OF THEIR FUNDING PERIOD. TWO-YEAR GRANT RECIPIENTS ALSO PROVIDE AN INTERIM REPORT AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THEIR FIRST YEAR.
