Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
In 2024, the Do the Write Thing (DtWT) program operated in 28 U.S. cities, continuing its mission to reduce youth violence through personal reflection and written expression. The program engaged over 30,000 middle school students nationwide, encouraging young people to share their experiences and propose solutions to end violence in their communities. As part of the national recognition component, 28 Student Ambassadors traveled to Washington, D.C., where they presented their writings and represented their cities at the Library of Congress and other official events. To enhance program visibility and stakeholder engagement, DtWT advanced its strategic communications efforts through the distribution of quarterly newsletters and the expansion of social media outreach and awareness campaigns. These initiatives helped drive broader community participation and reinforced partnerships with local coordinators, educators, and community leaders.$0$110,030
