“Vocational training/special needs day program a variety of different experiences are offered, including volunteer or paid work activity (either at our facilities or in the community), work adjustment training, community integration and social activities, and job readiness, placement, and retention groups. The program focuses mainly on work activities, with the emphasis on preparing most individuals for eventual community employment. Individuals may have a plan which combines both supported employment and vocational services. Special needs day program (phase one) is designed specifically for children (nine months 13 yrs.) with more significant disabilities. Individuals participate in a variety of relevant and interesting activities throughout the day. The program focuses on exercise, maximizing independence, leisure activities and community field trips.”

“Transportation transportation will be offered for clients to go to different sites within the city for supported employment. Clients and volunteers that come into our facilities for programs would have access to transportation and will be picked up and dropped off from a central location around the city. Bigmas care place respite care this program allows parents who have children with special needs a saturday to themselves while their children including siblings are treated to six hours of one-on-one care and attention. The day for children includes crafts, indoor and outdoor play, and a general gathering meeting. Volunteers are carefully selected, screened and equipped. Down syndrome association of liberia (dsal) (dsal) is a community service program of my hearts appeal, inc. It is a parent support group that is comprised of parents whose children have down syndrome. We provide information, resources and emotional support to new parents looking for answers and solutions to raising a child with a disability and, in particular, down syndrome. The group also includes parents of other intellectually disabled children, relatives, friends, siblings, foster parents, professionals and interested members of the community. Dsal was founded by lovetie major, whose younger sister titema, has down syndrome and lives in a society that does not service her needs.”
