Mission

Established in 1995, rhfee works to address uncertainties and answer questions on health and environmental issues related to the production and use of chlorine chemistry in the conduct of its business, rfhee works with industry, public agencies, academia and other foundations on projects that will furnish crucial information, peer-reviewed scientific research, expert panels, and workshops that will provide information for public policy.

Advancing the understanding, safe use, and positive impact of chemistry to society. 1. Provide information and participate in education that promotes the safe production, distribution, and use of chemistry.2. Support and promote scientific research for science-based public policy for chemicals management.3. Support initiatives demonstrating chemistry's contribution and benefits to society.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The foundation is generally exempt from federal income taxes under the provisions of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. In addition, the foundation qualifies for charitable contributions deductions and has been classified as an organization that is not a private foundation. Income that is not related to exempt purposes, less applicable deductions, is subject to federal and state corporate income taxes. There was no net tax liability for unrelated business income tax for the year ended december 31, 2019. Management has evaluated the foundation's tax positions and has concluded that the foundation has taken no uncertain tax positions that require disclosure.
