“The middle school ceramic art program, inc. (the program)) develops and implements unique in and after school ceramic art programs for metropolitan baltimore area middle schools.fifty-two middle schools participate in the programs. With an interdisciplinary approach, art teachers connect the art to the core curriculum subjects; language arts, social studies, science and math. Students from multiple participating schools research, collaborate and create large murals exhibited at strategic locations in the baltimore area. The program benefits over twenty thousand students in structured in school classes. Each school has an after school ceramic club, staffed by the art teacher providing stimulating programs. Monthly meetings of art teachers allow for networking and free exchange of ideas. In addition, outreach workshops are provided for middle school art teachers. All of the program's programs are available regardless of race, creed or national origin. No fees of any kind are charged to any student.”
