“All housing unlimited inc. (hui) board of director members, including the board's personnel committee members, are independent of the chief executive officer (ceo). No board members are compensated by the filing organization. The hui ceo is compensated. The compensation for the ceo is reviewed and approved annually by the hui board of directors. The compensation of the ceo is based on the personnel committee recommendation to the board of directors. It requires board approval and is based upon data for comparable compensation in similar industries. Team members visit tenants' homes every week to answer questions, provide requested resources, and to check the physical condition of properties to ensure that homes are wellmaintained. The housing unlimited tenants council fosters recovery, promotes cooperation, and independence, and provides tenants an opportunity for a collective voice. Tenants council officers receive leadership and skills training. In addition, housing unlimited, through paid internships, provides interested tenants with the opportunity to assist with property management, public education, and administrative tasks.”
