“The cedice foundation is a non-partisan, free-market organization. Its main objective is to promote a better understanding of the economic concept of the free market and individual liberty. Historically, it has supported various activities in countries with developing economies. These activities have included: book purchase programs, publications, student programs, conferences and seminars, libraries, university chairs, awards/research, internships/conferences, community programs, radio programming and economic orientation for journalists. The cedice foundation has also been involved in the production of the index of economic freedom of the heritage foundation and the index of property rights of the fraser institute. In addition,it has participated in compiling the world misery index and the public spending index. It is also included in the 2015 global go to think tank report. Cedice produced a documentary project on carlos rangel, venezuelan intellectual and man of letters, on the 40th anniversary of the publication of his seminal work, del buen salvaje al buen revolucionario (from the good savage to the good revolutionary). The film was produced to familiarize and to educate the public about mr. Rangel and his contributions to society in venezuela and abroad. A series of activities was developed to promote and to debate the ideas of liberty and responsibility, as proposed by mr. Rangel. These included video-fora, seminars, lectures, reading circles, and debates in different venues such as universities, schools and public places, as well as the national assembly of venezuela in caracas. A new edition of mr. Rangel's book was published by cedice and el nacional books.”
