Chesapeake bay trust is a public, nonprofit grant-making organization created to promote public awareness of and participation in the restoration and protection of the chesapeake bay and its tributaries. (see schedule o for continuation) since its establishment in 1985 by the maryland general assembly, the trust has awarded more than $140 million in the areas of environmental education, on-the-ground restoration and community outreach.
