Our catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually-centered, holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and our words.
The St. Agnes Foundation, Inc. is organized to serve as an instrument to assist, advance, strengthen St. Agnes Healthcare by developing philanthropic resources, sponsoring healthcare services, supporting education in medical fields, and supporting humanitarian endeavors.

AGNES FOUNDATION DEVELOPED PHILANTHROPIC RESOURCES NEEDED TO HELP FUND AND SUPPORT THE CAMPUS REVITALIZATION PROJECT, WHICH INCLUDED CONSTRUCTING A NEW PATIENT TOWER, REDEVELOPMENT OF THE EXISTING PATIENT TOWER, THE EXPANSION AND REDESIGN OF THE ST. AGNES CANCER CENTER, AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO PARKING GARAGES. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2015, THE FOUNDATION RAISED $215,657 TO SUPPORT THE CAMPUS REVITALIZATION PROJECT WHICH ALLOWED ST. AGNES HEALTHCARE TO BETTER SERVE THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. AT THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR, THE ST. AGNES FOUNDATION PROVIDED FUNDING TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT TOTALING $1,150,000. THIS CONCLUDED A SUCCESSFUL MULTI-YEAR CAMPAIGN THAT RAISED A TOTAL OF $22.9 MILLION IN PHILANTHROPIC FUNDING FOR THE CAMPUS REVITALIZATION PROJECT. |

THE ONCOLOGY FUND HAS HELPED CONTINUE OUTREACH, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT TO PATIENTS WITH CANCER AND THEIR FAMILIES THAT ARE BEING CARED FOR AT ST. AGNES HEALTHCARE. THE ONCOLOGY FUND ALSO SUPPORTED CANCER SURVIVORS DAY, WHICH CELEBRATES THE SUCCESSES OF THOSE THAT HAVE SURVIVED CANCER AND PROVIDES ADDITIONAL EDUCATION TO CANCER SURVIVORS. THE ORTHOPEDIC FUND PROVIDED NEEDY PATIENTS WITH DRIVING EVALUATIONS, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY EQUIPMENT, PHYSICAL THERAPY/FITNESS MEMBERSHIPS, COMPRESSION GARMENTS AND OTHER SIMILAR EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES TO VULNERABLE PATIENTS. ST. AGNES FOUNDATION, THROUGH A GRANT FROM UNION HEALTHCARE, SUPPORTED THE RED DRESS SUNDAY EVENT, A FAITH-BASED HEALTH EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAM DESIGNED TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE DEVASTATING EFFECTS OF HEART DISEASE AMOUNT WOMEN OF COLOR. THIS EVENT BEGAN IN 2005 WITH THREE PARTNERED CONGREGATIONS AND HAS GROWN TO INCLUDE 170 CONGREGATIONS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF BALTIMORE AND FIVE COUNTIES IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND. THIS HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL EVENT IS ESTIMATED TO HAVE REACHED IN EXCESS OF 100,000 PEOPLE, HIGHLIGHTING THE RISKS INVOLVED WITH THE NUMBER ONE KILLER OF AFRICAN-AMERICAN WOMEN IN THE UNITED STATES. ST. AGNES FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDED FUNDING TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS, SUCH AS MY BROTHER'S KEEPER, A FAITH BASED SOUP KITCHEN THAT PROVIDES BOTH NUTRITIONAL AND SPIRITUAL NOURISHMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES IN AN EFFORT TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY AND ADDICTION. FURTHERMORE, ST. AGNES FOUNDATION PARTNERED WITH THE ASSOCIATED ITALIAN AMERICAN CHARITIES TO HELP FUND EDUCATION COSTS FOR NURSING STUDENTS. |

THE ST. AGNES FOUNDATION ALSO RECEIVED A $75,000 GRANT FROM THE KOMEN MARYLAND FOUNDATION TO FURTHER THE BREAST LINK PROGRAM TO PROVIDE OUTREACH, EDUCATION, MAMMOGRAMS AND DIAGNOSTICS TO AT-RISK WOMEN. THE O'NEILL FOUNDATION PROVIDED A $24,000 GRANT TO LAUNCH THE FAMILY RESILIENCY PROGRAM WITHIN THE CANCER INSTITUTE TO SUPPORT FAMILY MEMBERS WITH A LOVE ONE IN TREATMENT FOR CANCER. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2015, THE ST. AGNES FOUNDATION ALSO SUPPORTED THE OPERATING COSTS OF SAINT AGNES HEALTHCARE THROUGH THE ANNUAL GIVING EFFORT. THIS FUNDING SUPPORTED PATIENT NAVIGATIONAL SERVICES, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, HEALTH SCREENINGS, PATIENT WELLNESS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT FOR ASSOCIATES, SAFETY INITIATIVES, ROBUST PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT EFFORTS AND WHERE NEEDS WERE GREATEST. |
