Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 - Fin 48 Footnote

Hope house foundation and the residential corporation are exempt from income taxes under sections 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4), respectively, of the internal revenue code. Sandy court, llc, the pines, llc, beachcomber apartments, llc, dadson arms, llc, and cherp, llc are organized as single-member limited liability companies. As such, they are considered disregarded entities for income tax purposes and their net assets and activities are included as part of the residential corporation's tax return who is the sole member of these llcs. Exempt organizations are subject to tax on income from regularly conducted trade or business activities that are not substantially related to the organization's exempt purpose. Tax returns are generally subject to examinations for three years from the date filed. This period of limitations has expired for tax years prior to 2020. Management continually evaluates tax positions reflected in the organizations' tax filings and does not believe that any material uncertain tax positions exist.

EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO TAX ON INCOME FROM REGULARLY CONDUCTED TRADE OR BUSINESS ACTIVITIES THAT ARE NOT SUBSTANTIALLY RELATED TO THE ORGANIZATION'S EXEMPT PURPOSE.
