“The form 990 is reviewed by the finance committee and a copy is provided to the full board prior to filing the return.”

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

“The conflict of interest policy is handed out at the MANSEF board meeting at the beginning of each fiscal year. The conflict of interest policy is signed off by all current and new board members each July. The executive director reviews the responses annually. Board members are required to disclose potential conflicts of interest. Once a member declares a possible conflict, the board votes to decide if a conflict in fact exists and how to handle the conflict.”

“The executive committee determines the executive directors salary each year using comparable data. The MANSEF board president and members of the executive committee of the board conduct an annual performance review of the executive director. The executive committee makes a recommendation to the finance committee if applicable for an increase in salary for the executive director. The executive directors salary is reviewed each year by the finance committee when the upcoming years budget is prepared. There is contemporaneous documentation and recordkeeping for deliberations and decisions regarding the compensation arrangement.”
