“Effective october 1, 2009, the association is managed by manis canning & associates, who perform all management functions on behalf of the organization.”

“The membership of this association shall consist of active, participating, associate and friends of the industry. Active membership in this association shall be open to any individual or entiry that holds a "franchise" to operate a "cable system" (as those terms are defined in section 602 of the communications act of 1934, 47 u.s.c. Setion 522) within the state of maryland, delaware, and the district of columbia, except that no "bell operating company" (as defined in section 3 (4) (a) of the communications act of 1934 u.s.c. Section 153 (3)(a) or affiliate may be an active member. Notwithstanding the forgoing, each franchised cable television system shall be considered one active member. A participating member shall be any individual, firm, group, or corporation which either has or plans to apply for a valid local franchise to build a cable televisionsystem or systems within the states of maryland, delaware, or district of columbia, but which has not yet begun serving subscribers, an associate member shall be any individual, firm, group, or corporation engaged in the manufacture or distribution of software, hardware, or services use in or by cable television systems. A friend of the industry shall be any individual, firm, group, or corporation with an interest in and concern for the cable television industry but without any ownership in same.”

Participating members shall have all privileges of membership except the right to vote and hold office. C. Associate members shall have all privileges of membership, except that they can only hold the offices and vote in the election of the associate directors. D. Friends-of-the-industry members shall have all privileges of membership except the right to vote and hold office.”
