Mission

Provide research and surveys to show aftermarket businesses how they can better serve the needs of the general public as well as disseminate information through reports, seminars, car care fairs, etc on the benefits of a properly maintained vehicle to the general public, and offer scholarships to students interested in a career in the automotive aftermarket.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Women's board: an integral part of the car care council with a two-fold goal: to encourage women to be come active vehicile maintainers; and to promote career opportunities for women in the automotive parts and services industry. The vehicles that women's board's active role is succesfully implemented through are:-automotive communications awards (aca). This awards reception rewards companies/agencies who provide automotive information to women through outstanding advertising, marketing and pr efforts.-women's board scholarships awarded annually to female students studying to enter the aftermarket. Scholarships are presented during the women's board reception during aapex.-distribution of information via conventional media, industry trade shows and women's consumer shows to spread the message to women about car care and automotive careers. The board distributes a bimonthly newsletter titled women on board, full of information about women in the industry.-car care clinics provided to members with a guide to hosting a successful women's car care clinic.
