Mission

The Technology Student Association is a national, non-profit career and technical student organization. TSA provides co-curricular activities, competitions, and programs for 250,000 middle school and high school students in over 2000 schools who are engaged in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

A STUDENT ORGANIZATION DEVOTED EXCLUSIVELY TO THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS INTERESTED IN science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Financial Statement Notes

Part X, Line 2:

The Association is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code for all activities related to its exempt purposes. The Association has been classified by the Internal Revenue Service as other than a private foundation. Management has evaluated the effect of the guidance provided by U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles on Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes. Management believes that the Association continues to satisfy the requirements of a tax-exempt organization at August 31, 2016. Management has evaluated all other tax positions that could have a significant effect on the financial statements and determined that the Association had no uncertain income tax positions at August 31, 2016.
