Mission

The organization's stated purpose is to provide a deinstitutionalized living environment, preemployment training, and transportation to developmentally disabled adults in washington and frederick counties of maryland.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Adult day & medical center - provided day habilitation and medical care for adult clients. During the current year there were 26,595 client days of service rendered by the council for the day habilitation program. They also provided supportive employment services for adult clients in one location. During the current year there were 531 client days of service rendered by the council for the supportive employment services.
Activity 3
Client transportation - transportation services for developmentally disabled adults to various activity programs. This program serves 171 clients.

AS OF JUNE 30, 2011, THE COUNCIL HAD NO UNCERTAIN TAX POSITIONS THAT REQUIRE EITHER RECOGNITION OR DISCLOSURE IN THE COUNCILS FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. THE COUNCILS POLICY IS TO RECOGNIZE INTEREST AND PENALTIES ON UNRECOGNIZED TAX BENEFITS IN INCOME TAX EXPENSE IN THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.
