“The 990 will be reviewed and approved by the Finance Committee in addition to Senior Management.”

“Each Board member is required to fill out a Board Member Application listing affiliations including employer, church, volunteer, etc. Our Board nominating committee reviews the applications and ensures there are no conflicts of interestbefore nominating them for the Board. The full Board of Directors then officially nominates the individual for the board. The Board member participates in a New Member Orientation with the Executive Director which includes reviewing the InReach By-Laws and Conflict of Interest policy. The Executive Director and the Board then continue to monitor to be sure there are no conflicts while the member is serving on the board.”

“The InReach Board has utilized the Employees' Association Survey of Salaries for Non-Profit Executive Directors in Mecklenburg County to assist in determining the compensation for its current Executive Director. The Executive Committee of the Board convenes annually to review and evaluate the Executive Director's performance and makes recommendations for salary/benefits.”

“The Executive Director has utilized the same Survey of Salaries for Managers of Developmental Disability/Mental Health agencies in Mecklenburg County. The ED meets annually to review and evaluate each Director and then makes recommendations for salary/benefits to the Board.”

“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: First In Families: This program partners with families, individuals, and the community to provide assistance and resources which may include basic needs such as food, clothing, furniture or medical equipment. The project also funds emergency needs such as medication, utility bills or rental payments. Qualified recipients must have a developmental disability or traumatic brain injury and reside in Mecklenburg County. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Community Navigator, B3 Community Guide, B3 Respite, and B3 Supported Employment: Individuals receiving Innovations Waiver or Medicaid funding may be eligible for Community Navigator services. InReach staff navigate individuals and their families in locating and coordinating community resources to enable them to increase their self-sufficiency. Individuals eligible for Medicaid but waiting for an InnovationsWaiver slot are eligible to receive B3 Respite, B3 Community Guide, and B3 Supported Employment services. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Supported Employment: This program assists individuals in finding and maintainingmeaningful employment in the community. Job coaches work one-on-one with individuals. Services include job development, training and long term follow alongassistance. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: CommunityWorks!: Individuals receive an average of 10 hours per week with aCommunity Coach or in a group setting during the day. The focus is on employment,education, volunteering, health, finances, social roles, social skills development, leisure activities, and daily living skills. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Project Search: This national project provides a secondary transition training program for students with developmental disabilities to participate in a combination of workforce development and academics including learning employability skills andinternships in a local business. There are 3 program sites: Atrium Health CarolinasMedical Center Mercy, Atrium Health Pineville, and Atrium Health Union.”
