Through its dedicated consulting practice the alban institute helps congregations and denominations address a host of challenges such as strategic planning, clergy transitions, ministry revitalization, board development, and conflict transformation. Serving faith communities representing the rich diversity of religious experience in north america, alban consultants are highly regarded for their experience, practical wisdom, and collective accomplishments. Over the decades, they have directly engaged thousands of faith communities. Through writing, speaking, and consulting, the alban consulting team has helped define some of the ideas we have today about how congregations are organized and how they can approach their most pressing challenges and opportunities. Clergy, lay leaders, and denominational executives turn to alban's education offerings to examine the questions, challenges and opportunities they face on an ongoing basis. Alban provides learning opportunities in a variety of ways, from online seminars to in-person events. Led by alban senior consultants and authors, each year alban offers about a dozen in-depth three-day seminars around the country. Alban programming addresses a range of topics from practical knowledge on planning, staffing and ministry, to high level thinking on leadership, mission and societal trends.
