Governing documents etc available to public Part VI line 19

The organization makes its governing documents and financial statements available upon request.

Part VII response or note to any other line in Part VII

Councils salaries are paid by an unrelated organization, Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, under a common paymaster arrangement whereby the pays and W2s are issued under Centers name and FEIN, and Council reimburses Center for its allocated share of salaries. Thus, there are no W2s issued by Council.

Footnote for uncertain tax position under FIN 48 (Part X)

CLW is exempt from Federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Fund is exempt from Federal income taxes on its exempt activities under Section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been made in the accompanying financial statements. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been made in the accompanying consolidated financial statements. The provisions included in accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America provide consistent guidance for the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an entitys financial statements and prescribe a threshold of more likely than not for recognition of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. CLW performed an evaluation of uncertain tax positions at year end, and determined that there were no matters that would require recognition in the consolidated financial statements or, which may have any effect on its tax-exempt status. At year end, the statute of limitations for tax years 2019 through 2021 remains open with the U.S. Federal jurisdiction and any state and local jurisdictions in which the Institute and the Fund file tax returns.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt2CLW is exempt from Federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code.
