Mission

The great, central purpose and duty of the baltimore rescue mission is to proclaim the "unsearchable riches" of the lord jesus christ; to seek the salvation of the lost; to instruct believers in the word of god; to conduct religious and sunday school services at the mission; to feed, clothe, and help the needy; and to foster, promote and encourage all phases of general rescue mission work.

To provide food, clothing, shelter and religious services for the needy

The organization receives miscellaneous non-cash contributions in addition to the total contributions reported on line 1 of the Statement of Revenue. These contributions are typically food and other perishable items that are dropped at the center and then immediately distributed by the Mission to the needy for consumption. Because these contributions are received randomly and consumed immediately the organization did not formally account for them and therefore can not accurately value these contributions for the tax year.
