Activity 2

Childrens programs - a variety of programs for children with special needs. Services include an after school and summer program for youths ages 10 to 21 with disabilities, a family, infant and child care center that provides nursing and child care for medically fragile infants and children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age, a child care center that offers full and part time care for children of preschool and elementary school age with and without special needs, a nursery school educational program providing special education and related services for students ages 2 to 4 years with developmental delays, autism, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities, and an educational program designed to meet the cognitive, social, emotional, speech and language, and physical needs of 3 and 4 year old children through individual and group learning situations.

Activity 3

Vocational program - includes day and supported employment services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The day program works with businesses to perform services such as mailing, shrink-wrapping and packaging and assembly. Job coaches work directly with 115 workers to help them with production, answer questions and solve problems. Participants also have opportunities to participate in recreational and community activities as part of the program. The supported employment program provides job placement, on the job training, support and supervision to 140 adults with disabilities. Job coaches monitor the worker's performance on the job and serve as intermediaries with employers, helping the workers to succeed on the job.
