St. Vincent de paul of baltimore reviews all compensation amounts annually. The finance committee of the board of directors reviews compensation levels of all employees, including key employees. The executive committee of the board of directors conducts an annual review of the president and ceo's performance and compensation. Independent compensation survey reports are used in the annual reviews of compensation levels, and include such publications as the guidestar compensation report, the nonprofit times/bluewater report, and the maryland nonprofits compensation survey. In addition, st. Vincent de paul periodically contracts with an independent compensation and benefits consulting firm to provide a comprehensive and thorough review of compensation levels based on market analysis.

The organization follows the provisions of accounting for uncertainty in income taxes under the income taxes topic of the codification. The codification requires the evaluation of tax positions, which include maintaining its tax-exempt status and the taxability of any unrelated business income, and does not allow recognition of tax positions which do not meet a "more-likely-than-not" threshold of being sustained by the applicable tax authority. Management does not believe it has taken any tax positions that would not meet this threshold.

VINCENT DE PAUL OF BALTIMORE HAS OPERATED HEAD START AND EARLY HEAD START SERVICES SINCE 2002, SERVING OVER 720 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN BALTIMORE CITY ANNUALLY. HEAD START PROVIDES CHILDREN WITH HIGH QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION WITH SUPPORT SERVICES TO PARENTS. CAMP DISCOVERYCAMP DISCOVERY IS AN 8-WEEK SUMMER CAMP DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY TO COMBAT SUMMER LEARNING LOSS AND BRIDGE THE ACHIEVEMENT GAP FOR OUR HEAD START STUDENTS TRANSITIONING TO KINDERGARTEN. EACH SUMMER, CAMP DISCOVERY PROVIDES 130 CHILDREN WITH ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT, KINDERGARTEN READINESS, SOCIAL EMOTIONAL CURRICULUM, SWIM DAYS, AND STEM-INFUSED ACTIVITIES. CAMP ST. VINCENTCAMP ST. VINCENT IS THE ONLY SUMMER CAMP DEDICATED TO SERVING CHILDREN EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN THE BALTIMORE REGION AND SERVES OVER 175 CHILDREN EACH SUMMER.
