Contracts and vendors are periodically reviewed and bids are obtained and reviewed with conflict of interest awareness. Any board member who has a possible conflict of interest does not vote on any matter related to the possible conflict. The minutes will reflect that a disclosure was made, that the member with the possible conflict abstained from voting, and that the member has not been included in the quorum. Family and business relationships are expressly mentioned as sources of potential conflicts in the conflict of interest policy.”
