Fort Delaware Society

,Line 28 The Society provides research for descendants of the Civil War prisoners held at Fort Delaware, students, authors, Historians and others. We maintain a civil war research library, complete research facilities, archives a museum of artifacts from historic fort Delaware. line 29 The society publishes numerous booklets of Fort Delaware history including the annual " Fort Delaware Notes." A semi-Annual Newsletter. the society publishes pamphlet promoting visitation to Fort Delaware state Park. line 30 As part of the Society commitment to historic preservation we signed a 35 year curatorship agreement with the Division of Park's & Recreation to restore, occupy and maintain a historic building at fort DuPont State Park. This building serve as our headquarters.

This year we supply Leather gear for the interprets at Fort Delaware, We maintain a small museum, and do research for Fort Delaware. We handle many emails and phone calls for anyone who wanted to research for prisoners held at Fort Delaware or the union soldiers who were guards. We do research for authors and students at both high school and college.
